Students are learning the fundamental rudiments and rhythms as taught in virtually every public school and to every drummer who wants to know how to play the drums. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What can I expect from an online music lesson?
Your online private lesson will be very similar to a traditional in-person lesson. Your teacher will guide you through your favorite songs while having fun learning. We will also share exercises and pieces to practice at home.
What is the difference between online music lessons with a live instructor and other forms of online learning such as Youtube videos?
With a live instructor, your lessons will be tailored to you or your child’s individual learning style and desire. Getting feedback on technique as an individual is important. Plus, most of our students have a good bond with their instructors.
How do online lessons work?
We use Zoom for all of our online music lessons. Once you sign up you will be sent a secure Zoom link to your teacher’s virtual classroom. At the time of your lesson you can simply click on your link and connect using the Zoom app.
Do I need to download Zoom to participate in my lesson?
For the best results, we recommend that you download the Zoom app onto your computer, tablet, or phone. The app is completely free and easy to install. If you are using a laptop or a desktop computer you can run Zoom on your internet browser without downloading the app.
I don’t have an instrument already, can I still take a lesson?
We can arrange for pick up of a sanitized keyboard, guitar to you for only $25 per month.
Will I be able to start learning on my preferred instrument right away?
Students ages 5 to adult can get started on lessons the next day! We have a prorated tuition so, you’ll never pay for lessons that aren’t scheduled.
Can young children take online lessons?
Yes! We have had many successful online lessons with children as young as 5 years old! Our online music lessons are fun, interactive, and tailored to the individual learner.
Do I need to be present during my child’s online private lesson?
Parents are always welcome to sit in on their child’s lesson however, it is not necessary. For children under the age of 7 we encourage parents to be present for at least the first couple of lessons to help facilitate the lesson.
Can I schedule extra lessons for myself or my child?
Of course! Making music is an excellent way to boost spirits while at home. Additional online music lessons for adults are also an excellent creative outlet. Please contact us to schedule additional lessons. 512-549-2454
When will you transition back to in-person lessons?
We are going to follow expert opinion and best practice to gradually open. Students will still have the choice to continue with online lessons. When the time comes to transition back into in-person lesson we will work with each student to ensure that your transition is smooth and easy.
